FCC Aqualia at the cutting edge global mining event

The Company has participated in Expomin 2014 , the largest gathering of national and international experts in the mining industry

The fair has grown by 125,000 m2, with the presence of 1,400 companies and attended by 80,000 visitors

In Santiago de Chile, the Expomin fair brought together the main public and private authorities of the Andean country . Together with national and international experts have analyzed the current and future scenario faced by the mining industry in Chile and the world. FCC Aqualia had its presence with a stand through its subsidiary aqualia infrastructure and has been invited as an expert in water treatment in industrial processes of mining.

 Bartolome Marin, head of infrastructure Desalination FCC Aqualia gave the "Fetching seawater desalination discharge of rejection " conference. During conferences have addressed policy issues , investment projects , technologies and best practices available for supply to productive operations. Seawater currently covers 8% of the needs of mining , and there are 16 projects of desalination plants in operation or under different levels of development in the country.

 Expomin has become a trading platform and a place to meet entrepreneurs , executives and professionals in the world of mining . Market conditions have changed over the years and currently has mining challenges. In this issue , we have analyzed how to treat them with new technologies to solve the problems of the industry, such as deposits in extreme areas or problems of water supply and energy that exist today .

 Aqualia FCC has already built two desalination plants for the mining industry in Chile and works to increase its presence in this strategic sector of the Chilean economy .
